KMB to connect the Northern Metropolis with multiple routes All-new Route 77 launches Monday to link Fanling North Fung Wong Leng

The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. (“KMB”) has been selected as the operator of bus routes serving the Kwu Tung North and Fanling North New Development Areas in the Northern Metropolis. KMB will introduce multiple routes to connect the Northern Metropolis, driving its development through enhanced transportation. Starting next Monday (17 August), KMB is launching the first of these routes, the brand-new Route 77 [Fung Wong Leng Estate ⇋ Sheung Shui (Tai Ping)], serving Luen Wo Hui, Pak Wo Road and North District Hospital in Fanling and Sheung Shui. Route 77 is the first bus route serving Fung Wong Ling Estate, the Northern Metropolis' first public housing development. It will cater the daily travel needs of new residents as well as construction workers during the initial intake period.

Development of the Northern Metropolis is progressing rapidly. With residents soon moving into Fung Wong Leng Estate, the first major public housing development in the Fanling North New Development Area, KMB will introduce Route 77 [Fung Wong Leng Estate ⇋ Sheung Shui (Tai Ping)] on next Monday (17 August) to provide an early transport link between the new estate and the established communities of Fanling and Sheung Shui. Connect destinations across Hong Kong easily via Fanling Station BBI

Route 77 observes Luen Wo Hui and Pak Wo Road in Fanling, and the North District Hospital in Sheung Shui. Residents of Fung Wong Leng Estate can take Route 77 to reach shopping and community facilities in Luen Wo Hui and along Pak Wo Road. Passengers can also interchange at the Fanling Station BBI with other KMB routes to destinations across Hong Kong, Kowloon and the New Territories, with interchange fare discounts offered for selected route combinations.

Seven planned routes connecting various areas to support Northern Metropolis Development

The Northern Metropolis has entered a critical stage of development. It is expected to accommodate 2.5 million residents and create approximately 650,000 jobs upon full completion. Among its key projects, the Fanling North and Kwu Tung North New Development Areas are the first Northern Metropolis developments to enter the construction and population intake phases. A total of seven bus routes are planned to serve these developments and connect them with various districts across Hong Kong. KMB has been appointed to operate these routes and is launching Route 77 to tie in with the development progress, connecting the Fung Wong Leng Estate in the Fanling North New Development Area and the established communities in Fanling and Sheung Shui.

As residential developments in Kwu Tung North are completed progressively, Route 77 is expected to be extended to Kwu Tung North as early as the fourth quarter of this year, with service enhancements introduced when appropriate to strengthen connectivity between the two development areas and meet the travel needs of residents and construction workers. In addition to Route 77, KMB is preparing new routes connecting Fanling North and Kwu Tung North with destinations including Sheung Shui, Kowloon East, Sham Shui Po, Tsuen Wan and Kwai Fong. Details will be announced in due course, subject to population intake progress, passenger demand and final approval by the Transport Department.

Service upgrade for KMB Anderson Route 13 to provide daily connection between key areas in Kowloon

The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. (“KMB”) has been committed to serving the travel needs of residents in the Anderson Development Area. Starting from 10 August (Monday), KMB Anderson Route 13 [Anderson ⇌ Sham Shui Po (Yen Chow Street)] will be upgraded to a daily service, with significantly extended operating hours providing residents with more convenient travel options and a direct bus service to key areas in Kowloon, including Kowloon City, Mong Kok, Tai Kok Tsui and Sham Shui Po.

KMB Anderson Route 13 operates via Sau Mau Ping, Lok Wah, Amoy Gardens, Kowloon City Bus-Bus Interchange (“BBI”), Mong Kok, Tai Kok Tsui and Sham Shui Po, providing a direct bus service between the key areas in Kowloon and newly occupied residential developments in Anderson, including On Ying Court, On Pak Court, On Sau Court and On Lai Court. From 10 August (Monday), Route 13 will be upgraded to daily service, with substantially extended service hours - services available from morning until afternoon for Sham Shui Po-bound; and from midday until evening for Anderson-bound. Starting from 3 August (Monday), Route 67M [Tuen Mun (Siu Hong Court) ⇋ Kwai Fong Station] will extend from Tuen Mun (Siu Hong Court) to Tuen Mun (Po Tin Estate), serving Wo Tin Estate, Ching Tin Estate and NOVO LAND in Tuen Mun Area 54 and replacing the existing Route 67A [Tuen Mun (Po Tin Estate) ⇋ Kwai Fong (Kwai Tsui Estate)]. The extended Route 67M will not only provide more frequent connections between Area 54 and Tuen Mun Road Bus-Bus Interchange (“BBI”), but also allow passengers to benefit from KMB's Regional Short-haul Two-way Section Fare Scheme offering more affordable travel to intra-district destinations such as Hung Kiu, San Hui and Tuen Mun Town Centre.

All-day connection to Tuen Mun Road BBI with more frequent services for convenient travel to urban areas

Since the intake of residents at Wo Tin Estate, Ching Tin Estate and NOVO LAND began in 2022, KMB has introduced Route 67A [Tuen Mun (Po Tin Estate) ⇋ Kwai Fong (Kwai Tsui Estate)] to provide all-day bus services between Siu Hong, Tuen Mun Area 54, Tuen Mun Road BBI, and urban destinations including Tsuen Wan, Kwai Chung and Kwai Fong. To meet growing passenger demand, KMB has also continuously enhanced the service through measures such as earlier first departures and interchange discounts at Po Tin BBI, providing affordable and convenient travel options for local residents. In addition, KMB will introduce special trips from Siu Hong to Kwai Fong on weekday’s morning peak.

With effect from 3 August (Monday), Route 67M [Tuen Mun (Siu Hong Court) ⇋ Kwai Fong Station] will extend from Tuen Mun (Siu Hong Court) to Tuen Mun (Po Tin Estate), taking over the role of Route 67A, continuing to serve residents of Ching Tin Estate, Wo Tin Estate and NOVO LAND with all-day services to Tsuen Wan, Kwai Chung and Kwai Fong via Tuen Mun Road BBI. Furthermore, there will be more frequent departures, with buses operating as frequently as every 4 to 8 minutes for departures from Tuen Mun (Po Tin Estate) during the morning peak, and that from Kwai Fong Station in the evening peak. Passengers can conveniently connect to KMB's extensive territory-wide bus network at Tuen Mun Road BBI.

To tie in with concerts and activities held at AsiaWorld-Expo (“AWE”) in August, Long Win Bus Co. Ltd. (“LWB”) is arranging four Airport “A” Routes to observe AWE and operating five express dispersal routes to facilitate passengers going to and from the venue. Passengers interchanging from the express dispersal routes to designated KMB or LWB routes can also enjoy a “Ride two journeys, get one journey free” discount, with a free ride offered on the lower fare trip among the two journeys. Four Airport A-routes to observe AWE during the event dates

Departures of four LWB Airport A-routes in designated periods will observe AWE to facilitate passengers access to the venue on the event dates. Passengers from other districts may interchange to these four routes at Lantau Link Bus-Bus Interchange (“BBI”) or Tuen Mun - Chek Lap Kok Tunnel BBI.

Five express dispersal routes from AWE

To facilitate passengers leaving the venue after the events, LWB is also introducing five express dispersal routes on 1-2, 14-15, 22-23 and 29 August. The buses will depart from AWE 15 minutes after the shows end, and head straight to various locations.

LWB’s express dispersal routes now offer a “Ride two journeys, get one journey free” interchange discount. Passengers interchanging from the express dispersal routes to designated KMB or LWB routes with the same Octopus card or e-payment method can get a free ride on the lower fare trip among the two journeys. To tie in with the dispersal arrangement of music events at the Hong Kong Coliseum held in July, KMB will introduce 11 special routes for passengers. The trips will depart from Cheong Wan Road car park (near Hong Kong Coliseum Green Gate) about 15 minutes after the events conclude. The operating dates and details are as follows:

To tie in with concerts and activities held at AsiaWorld-Expo (“AWE”) in July, Long Win Bus Co. Ltd. (“LWB”) is arranging four Airport “A” Routes to observe AWE and operating five express dispersal routes to facilitate passengers going to and from the venue. Four Airport A-routes to observe AWE during the event dates

Departures of four LWB Airport A-routes in designated periods will observe AWE to facilitate passengers going to the venue on the event dates. Passengers from other districts may interchange to these four routes at Lantau Link Bus-Bus Interchange (“BBI”) or Tuen Mun - Chek Lap Kok Tunnel BBI.

Five express dispersal routes from AWE

To facilitate passengers leaving the venue after the events, LWB is also introducing five express dispersal routes on 5, 11, 17-19 and 25-26 July. The buses will depart from AWE 15 minutes after the shows end, and head straight to various locations.

LWB’s express dispersal routes now offer a “Ride two journeys, get one journey free” interchange discount. Passengers interchanging from the express dispersal routes to designated KMB or LWB routes with the same Octopus card or e-payment method can get a free ride on the lower fare trip among the two journeys. Special Route X1 connecting Tung Chung and AWE to be introduced

2026 i-dle WORLD TOUR [Syncopation] IN HONG KONG will be held at Kai Tak Stadium on 27-28 June (Saturday and Sunday). The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. (“KMB”) will operate 7 after-event special routes for passengers to travel directly to different areas, or transfer to other KMB routes at various Bus-Bus Interchanges (“BBIs”). Designated route combinations will enjoy free second-trip fares. Among them, Route SP12 offers a direct service to San Tin Huang Bus Station, allowing audiences from the Mainland to transfer to the Lok Ma Chau–Huanggang Shuttle Bus (“Huang Bus”) to Shenzhen.

Special routes cover various districts across Hong Kong, with Route SP12 travels directly to San Tin Huang Bus Station for interchange to Shenzhen

To facilitate audiences travelling to various districts after i-dle’s concert, KMB will operate 7 special routes on 27-28 June. KMB Bus Stop Orientation Challenge Returns Calling all “KMB Rangers” this August

As the long summer holidays draw near, The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. (“KMB”) is set to return this August with “KMB Rangers!”, following the resounding success of Hong Kong’s first-ever Bus Stop Orientation Challenge last year. The Challenge will put participants’ knowledge of KMB and Long Win Bus Co. Ltd. (“LWB”) routes to the test, requiring teams to plan their journeys strategically while demonstrating strong teamwork and coordination to complete missions at designated bus stops. Registration opens at noon on 1 June. This summer, KMB and LWB invite the public to explore Hong Kong!

Last year, KMB’s Bus Stop Orientation Challenge attracted over 200 teams and was met with an overwhelmingly positive response. This year, KMB proudly presents the return of “KMB Rangers!”, taking place on Sunday, 23 August 2026. Set in the imaginative world of KMB City, participants will embark on a journey to rescue a group of adorable animals captured by a mysterious force. Forming teams of two to six, participants will become KMB Rangers. Using the KMB and LWB mobile application, APP1933, teams will plan their journeys and travel along KMB or LWB routes to bus stop checkpoints to complete tasks.

Test your bus knowledge and receive commemorative gifts

Participants are required to arrive at KMB Yuet Lun Street Depot at 9:00 a.m. on the event day. Each team has to visit as much bus stops as possible within the shortest possible time, and return to KMB Yuet Lun Street Depot by 3:00 p.m. to successfully complete the Challenge. The Challenge includes Open, Family and Staff Categories. Members of the Open Category must be aged 12 or above, while Family Category must include at least one member aged 3 to 11. All team captains must be club1933 members. Prizes will be awarded to the champion, first runner-up and second runner-up in each category, along with a trophy. A “Best Costume Award” will also be presented to the most creative team outfits.

Registration opens at 12:00 p.m. on 1 June and closes at 11:59 a.m. on 19 June 2026. A 5% early bird discount is available for registration completed by 11:59 p.m. on 5 June. Applications should be submitted via “KMB Rangers!” website.

Each participant will receive a commemorative race pack which includes an event T-shirt, a Rubik’s cube, a pin badge, and a waterproof sports bag. Participants who complete the event will be awarded a 1:120 “KMB Rangers!” bus model together with a medal for collection.

LWB A- and NA-routes to add stop at Airport Terminal 2 from next Wednesday to provide seamless connection to new departure facilities

Long Win Bus Co. Ltd. (“LWB”) announces that all A- and NA-routes will add a new alighting stop at Airport Terminal 2 (“T2”) starting from 27 May (Wednesday), the same day the terminal opens. Passengers from various districts can travel directly to Terminal 2 on any LWB A- or NA-route, or take a KMB route and interchange with an LWB A-route to enjoy “Ride two journeys, get one journey free” offer, providing a round-the-clock, seamless connection to the Airport’s new departure facilities.

The passenger departure facilities at the expanded Airport Terminal 2 will commence operations on 27 May (Wednesday), with some 15 airlines relocating to the new terminal building in phases. To tie in with the arrangement, all LWB A- and NA-routes will add a new stop at Airport Terminal 2 on Airport bound. Upon arriving at the Airport, buses will first stop at Terminal 1, and then proceed to the new Terminal 2 alighting stop. To tie in with the dispersal arrangement of music events at Kai Tak Stadium held in May, The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. (“KMB”) will operate 7 after-event special routes for passengers to travel directly to different areas, or transfer to other KMB routes at various Bus-Bus Interchanges (“BBIs”). Designated route combinations will enjoy free second-trip fares. Among them, Route SP12 offers a direct service to San Tin Huang Bus Station, allowing audiences from the Mainland to transfer to the Lok Ma Chau – Huanggang Shuttle Bus (“Huang Bus”) to Shenzhen. (“LWB”) is arranging seven Airport “A” Routes to observe AWE and operating five express dispersal routes to facilitate passengers going to and from the venue. Passengers interchanging from the express dispersal routes to designated KMB or LWB routes can also enjoy a “Ride two journeys, get one journey free” discount, with a free ride offered on the lower fare trip among the two journeys. Seven Airport A-routes to observe AWE during the event dates

Departures of seven LWB Airport A-routes in designated periods will observe AWE to facilitate passengers going to the venue on the event dates. Passengers from other districts may interchange to these seven routes at Lantau Link Bus-Bus Interchange (“BBI”) or Tuen Mun - Chek Lap Kok Tunnel BBI.

To facilitate passengers leaving the venue after the events, LWB is also introducing five express dispersal routes on 3, 6, 9-10, 12, 16-17, 23-24 and 29-30 May. The buses will depart from AWE 15 minutes after the shows end, and head straight to various locations.

LWB’s express dispersal routes now offer a “Ride two journeys, get one journey free” interchange discount. Passengers can experience two of Hong Kong’s most iconic mega infrastructures—Stonecutters Bridge and Tsing Ma Bridge—from the unobstructed upper deck, take in the sky’s beauty from dusk till night and travel along the West Kowloon Corridor through new and historic urban districts, linking to the must-visit “photo spot” of Old Yau Ma Tei Police Station. All in one trip, passengers can enjoy Hong Kong’s diverse cityscapes.

To facilitate the Fire and Ambulance Services Academy (“FASA”) Open Day, The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. (“KMB”) will operate the Urban Express Route X90 [Wong Tai Sin Bus-Bus Interchange (“BBI”) - Wong Tai Sin Temple → FASA] / [FASA → Ngau Chi Wan BBI - Hung Ngok House] and enhance the service Route 298 [Hang Hau Station - FASA (Circular)] on 12 April 2026 (Sunday) to facilitate passengers travelling to and from the FASA from various districts.

Route X90 offers a direct service connecting Kwun Tong with the venue in just 10 minutes and passengers can connect to various districts via BBIs

Departing from Wong Tai Sin BBI – Wong Tai Sin Temple, Route X90 observes Kowloon Bay Station, Kwun Tong Town Centre, and Tseung Kwan O Tunnel BBI. It takes only 10 minutes to reach FASA from Kwun Tong. For the return trip, passengers can interchange to other KMB routes at Tseung Kwan O Tunnel BBI or Ngau Chi Wan BBI to for various districts.

Long Win special bus service arrangements for music shows and activities at AWE in April with “Ride two journeys, get one journey free” interchange discount available on express dispersal routes

To tie in with concerts and activities held at AsiaWorld-Expo (“AWE”) in April, Long Win Bus Co. Ltd. (“LWB”) is arranging seven Airport “A” Routes to observe AWE and operating five express dispersal routes to facilitate passengers going to and from the venue. Passengers interchanging from the express dispersal routes to designated KMB or LWB routes can also enjoy a “Ride two journeys, get one journey free” discount, with a free ride offered on the lower fare trip among the two journeys. Seven Airport A-routes to observe AWE during the event dates

Departures of seven LWB Airport A-routes in designated periods will observe AWE to facilitate passengers going to the venue on the event dates. Passengers from other districts may interchange to these seven routes at Lantau Link Bus-Bus Interchange (“BBI”) or Tuen Mun - Chek Lap Kok Tunnel BBI.

Five express dispersal routes from AWE

To facilitate passengers leaving the venue after the events, LWB is also introducing five express dispersal routes on 4, 5 and 26 April. The buses will depart from AWE 15 minutes after the shows end, and head straight to various locations.

LWB’s express dispersal routes now offer a “Ride two journeys, get one journey free” interchange discount. Passengers interchanging from the express dispersal routes to designated KMB or LWB routes with the same Octopus card or e-payment method can get a free ride on the lower fare trip among the two journeys. Special Route X1 connecting Tung Chung and AWE to be introduced

Furthermore, to tie in with the abovementioned concerts and other AWE events, LWB will be operating express bus service Route X1 [Tung Chung Station ⇋ AsiaWorld-Expo] on 5, 11, 13, 17, 19, 21, 27 and 29 April to offer a non-stop direct service between Tung Chung Station and AWE. KMB to operate 12 special routes connecting various grave-sweeping locations during Ching Ming Festival period

The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. (“KMB”) is operating 12 special routes on designated dates during Ching Ming Festival period to facilitate the public going to Diamond Hill Cemetery, Tseung Kwan O Chinese Permanent Cemetery, Yuen Yuen Institute, Tsuen Wan Chinese Permanent Cemetery, Tsang Tsui Columbarium and Wo Hop Shek Cemetery for grave-sweeping. Wo Hop Shek Cemetery and Columbarium

Route 70S will introduce new stop at Tsing Sha Highway BBI on both bounds to facilitate passengers interchanging to and from Kowloon West, Tsing Yi or Lantau Island, while the routing on Hung Hom Station-bound will be diverted via Mei Foo BBI and Cheung Sha Wan Road. Route 73S will additionally stop at Wo Hop Shek (Ming Yin Road) on 29 March, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 12 April to facilitate passengers travelling to Wo Hop Shek Cemetry.

To cater for the Community Chest New Territories Walk for Millions 2026 held on 22 March (Sunday), The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. (“KMB”) is strengthening the services of several North District routes connecting urban areas and Fanling Station Bus-Bus Interchange (“BBI”) on that morning to facilitate participants travelling to the event Shuttle Bus Boarding Point, joining together in the charitable cause.

The Community Chest New Territories Walk for Millions 2026 will be held this Sunday (22 March) at Fanling Bypass (Eastern Section). Participants may take various KMB routes from different districts to reach Fanling Station BBI for the Shuttle Bus Boarding Point near Fanling Town Centre to join the event. KMB is strengthening the following route services to facilitate participants’ travel:

Route 277X observes Kwun Tong BBI and Tate’s Cairn Tunnel BBI, while Route 278X observes Shing Mun Tunnels BBI. Passengers departing from East Kowloon, Kowloon City or Hong Kong Island may travel to Kwun Tong BBI or Tate’s Cairn Tunnel BBI and interchange to Route 277X to reach the Shuttle Bus Boarding Point. Passengers from Tsuen Wan, Kwai Chung or Tsing Yi may take any KMB routes to travel to Shing Mun Tunnels BBI first, and interchange to Route 278X. The KMB Boundary Route Interchange Concession Scheme allows passengers travelling to and from Lok Ma Chau Station (Futian Port) or Heung Yuen Wai Control Point (Liantang Port) to reach the Hong Kong Flower Show venue at a more economical fare. Passengers may take Route B1 when departing from Lok Ma Chau Station (Futian Port), or Routes B9 or B9A from Heung Yuen Wai Control Point (Liantang Port), and interchange to Route 968 at YOHO Mall, Yuen Long with the same Octopus Card or ePayment method. The lower fare of the two rides is waived, making the total journey only HK$27. The same discount applies on the return trip, allowing passengers to enjoy the Flower Show with an economical bus service. allowing passengers to enjoy the Flower Show hassle-free.

Travel to any place on Hong Kong Island with Interchange discount with Tram

KMB and Hong Kong Tramways have an interchange discount scheme. Passengers taking designated KMB cross-harbour routes and interchange to the Tram, or vice versa, can enjoy an interchange discount equivalent to the fare of Tram, making it more convenient to travel to Causeway Bay. KMB to operate seven after-event special routes covering various districts with Route SP12 direct to San Tin Huang Bus Station connecting Shenzhen to cater for events at Kai Tak Sports Park in March

To tie in with the dispersal arrangement of music events at Kai Tak Stadium held in March, The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. (“KMB”) will operate 7 after-event special routes for passengers to travel directly to different areas, or transfer to other KMB routes at various Bus-Bus Interchanges (“BBIs”). Designated route combinations will enjoy free second-trip fares. Among them, Route SP12 offers a direct service to San Tin Huang Bus Station, allowing audiences from the Mainland to transfer to the Lok Ma Chau – Huanggang Shuttle Bus (“Huang Bus”) to Shenzhen. Operating dates and details are as follows:

The Hong Kong Palace Museum ("HKPM" or "the Museum") has partnered with The Kowloon Motor Bus Company (1933) Limited ("KMB") to launch the limited time “KMB Pharaoh Cat Buses”. Starting from today, 10 themed buses will enter service, allowing the wider community to experience the Museum’s special exhibition “Ancient Egypt Unveiled: Treasures from Egyptian Museums” (“Ancient Egypt Unveiled”) in fresh ways. Featuring the exhibition’s popular “Pharaoh Cat” character alongside the beloved “KMB Boy”, the buses extend the ancient Egyptian cultural experience beyond the Museum, offering an engaging and accessible encounter with ancient Egyptian history across KMB routes connected to the West Kowloon Cultural District ("WestK"). Jointly organised by the HKPM and the Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA) of Egypt, “Ancient Egypt Unveiled” is the largest, most comprehensive, and longest-running display of ancient Egyptian treasures in Hong Kong. Beloved characters “KMB Boy” and “Pharaoh Cat” guide passengers on a cross-cultural journey between Hong Kong and ancient Egypt

Launching today for a one-month run, the 10 “KMB Pharaoh Cat Buses” will operate along the “KMB Tour HK” Open Top Bus Route HK1, the WestK-focused “Pet Bus Tour”, Route W4 [High Speed Rail (West Kowloon Station) ⇋ Tsim Sha Tsui (Circular)] and Route 296D [Sheung Tak ⇋ Kowloon Station], all of which travel through WestK. The “KMB Pharaoh Cat Buses” feature an ancient Egypt-themed exterior that vividly depicts the adorable characters “KMB Boy” and “Pharaoh Cat”, alongside cultural elements such as pyramids, the blue hippo, the sphinx, and hieroglyphs.

Inside the buses, themed decals and seatback displays showcase connections between Hong Kong’s cultural tourism highlights and ancient Egyptian artefacts. Through parallels in food culture, traditional customs, and writing systems, the design invites passengers to uncover intriguing cultural insights during their journey, offering a relaxed yet inspiring exploration of two great civilisations.

At over 100 bus stops across Hong Kong, the Museum has introduced special digital posters presented in ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs, Traditional Chinese, and English. The lightbox displays introduce two themed routes that highlight cultural landmarks along the “KMB Tour HK” Open Top Bus Route HK1, along with “Hieroglyph Fun Facts” that allow passengers to discover the ancient Egyptian writing system as they explore the city. The two themed routes are: “Deep Dive into Hong Kong’s Art Scene”, which showcases culturally vibrant areas such as the Art Park at WestK and Tai Nan Street in Sham Shui Po; and “Hong Kong Heritage Cultural Tour”, which focuses on Hong Kong’s historical and traditional cultural landmarks, including the Hong Kong Palace Museum and the Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower.

In celebration of “Art March Hong Kong 2026”, the HKPM and KMB will distribute 500 “Ancient Egypt Unveiled” Special Exhibition Tickets during the one-month operation of the “KMB Pharaoh Cat Buses”. Launched during the “Hong Kong Pet Show 2026” in January, the HKPM’s “Searching for Pharaoh’s Cat” campaign attracted nearly 4,000 photo entries of participants’ beloved cats, with 25 most popular entries selected through public voting. The HKPM hosted the “Searching for Pharaoh’s Cat Campaign Fun Day” today, inviting 25 winners to board the “KMB Pharaoh Cat Bus” with their pets for an exclusive first ride. Commercial Radio Hong Kong DJ Ah Jeng, who previously starred in the Museum’s creative video series, joined the winners on a pet-friendly experience of ancient Egyptian culture.

To tie in with concerts and activities held at AsiaWorld-Expo (“AWE”) in March, Long Win Bus Co. Ltd. (“LWB”) is arranging seven Airport “A” Routes to observe AWE and operating five express dispersal routes to facilitate passengers going to and from the venue. Passengers interchanging from the express dispersal routes to designated KMB or LWB routes can also enjoy a “Ride two journeys, get one journey free” discount, with a free ride offered on the lower fare trip among the two journeys. Seven Airport A-routes to observe AWE during the event dates

Departures of seven LWB Airport A-routes in designated periods will observe AWE to facilitate passengers going to the venue on the event dates. Passengers from other districts may interchange to these seven routes at Lantau Link Bus-Bus Interchange (“BBI”) or Tuen Mun - Chek Lap Kok Tunnel BBI.

Five express dispersal routes from AWE

To facilitate passengers leaving the venue after the events, LWB is also introducing five express dispersal routes on 10, 21 and 22 March. The buses will depart from AWE 15 minutes after the shows end, and head straight to various locations.

LWB’s express dispersal routes now offer a “Ride two journeys, get one journey free” interchange discount. Passengers interchanging from the express dispersal routes to designated KMB or LWB routes with the same Octopus card or e-payment method can get a free ride on the lower fare trip among the two journeys. Special Route X1 connecting Tung Chung and AWE to be introduced

KMB to introduce Route 73K Special Departure and all-new Route 277B to cater for the opening of Kong Nga Po Police Integrated Training Centre

(“KMB”) is introducing Route 73K Special Departure [Sheung Shui ⇋ Man Kam To (San Uk Ling) (via Kong Nga Po)] and all-new Route 277B [Sheung Shui (Kong Nga Po) ⇋ Lam Tin Station], providing convenient connections between Sheung Shui, Kowloon urban districts, and the newly opened Kong Nga Po Police College Integrated Training Centre, as well as nearby facilities including Organic Waste Treatment Facilities Phase 2 (“O·Park2”) and the Police Dog Unit Headquarters along Kong Nga Po Road. KMB Safety Bus pop-up at Cheung On Bus Terminus this Sunday

The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. (“KMB”) is organising a pop-up Safety Bus event this Friday (23 January) at Cheung On Bus Terminus, promoting road safety and proper bus etiquette. The Safety Bus, featuring the theme “Stop, Look, Listen and Give Way,” will be open to the public for visits with interactive activities. Each participant will receive a mission card. By completing all tasks and collecting the stamps, they can redeem a limited-edition portable travel bag, while supplies last!

Details of the event:

No prior registration or reservation is needed for the event. Participants can board the Safety Bus and learn about the importance of holding handrails and wearing seat belts while riding the bus through interactive games. They can also gain an understanding of vehicle blind spots to be more cautious when crossing roads, as well as bus-riding etiquette, such as waving for boarding the bus and keeping the bus compartment clean, making the experience both educational and fun.

In addition to pop-up appearances at bus termini across the city, KMB Safety Bus also offers on-campus visits to kindergartens and primary schools, specially designed for young children in kindergarten and lower primary levels. KMB operates 22 special routes to transport marathon runners to the venue

To tie in with the "Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon" on 18 January 2026 (Sunday), KMB will operate 22 special bus routes on that day to transport Marathon and Half Marathon participants to the race venue from various areas, providing a direct and convenient bus service on the race day. The details are as follows:

Marathon and Half Marathon events

Marathon and Half Marathon’s runners can choose to take the following 11 special bus routes, which will take them directly to Tsim Sha Tsui East (Mody Road), from where they can walk to the starting point located on Nathan Road.

10KM race event 

Participants of the 10KM race can choose to take the following 11 special bus routes, which will take them directly to Causeway Bay (Victoria Park), from where they can walk to the starting point located in the Island Eastern Corridor.

*Except for special services, the KMB Monthly Pass is valid for all the mentioned routes.
